Guru K. Chandra Rekha is a dedicated Bharatanatyam dancer and choreographer, and the esteemed Founder–Director of Gauri Nrityalaya. With a strong foundation in both academics and the arts, she holds a Bachelor degree in Tourism and travel management at DG vaishnav college and has completed IATA (International Air Transport Association) certification.
Her passion for classical dance led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Bharatanatyam from the Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University under the guidance of renowned gurus Dr. Sreelatha Vinoth and Sri Mathan Kumar. She currently continues her dance journey under the tutelage of Guru Dr. L. Narendra Kumar, Anusham dance group.
Versatile in her artistic expression, Guru K. Chandra Rekha is also well-versed in Western and Folk dance forms. As a choreographer with creativity and vision, she has conceptualized and directed performances for annual events across several reputed schools in Chennai.
A seasoned performer, she has showcased her artistry in numerous prestigious government events including the Chess Olympiad, G20 Summits and Tamil Diaspora Day , she also performed in many temple across tamilnadu and andhra pradesh.
Her belief that “art is a sacred bridge between the universe and the human spirit” guides her in nurturing students with dedication, creativity, and grace.
She has been honored with the titles Natya Taragai and Natya Jyothi for her contributions to the classical arts.
